Key Responsibilities
As a Glasshouse Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the glasshouse, including weed and rubbish removal
- Assisting with day-to-day maintenance tasks
- Identifying minor water leaks and performing basic repairs
- Supporting the glasshouse team in various operations
- Following compliance, health, and safety procedures at all times
Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- No formal qualification required
- Previous hands-on experience in horticulture or similar environments preferred
- Physically fit and capable of working in hot, humid conditions
- Practical, efficient, and safety-conscious
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift license is an advantage (training available if needed)
Specialization and Equipment Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience in glasshouse, farm, or outdoor physical work
- Basic maintenance and repair skills
- Forklift operation (training can be provided)
