KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Women’s Shelter Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and service delivery in a dynamic and compassionate environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting over 20 staff and volunteers
- Managing shelter administration and program coordination
- Screening, recruiting, and training staff and volunteers
- Developing and implementing community service delivery plans
- Handling conflict resolution and client-focused interventions
- Coordinating with healthcare providers and external agencies
- Tracking program metrics for evaluation and reporting
- Representing YWCA Sudbury in government and media relations
- Participating in policy development and organizational planning
- Preparing reports, briefs, and committee documents

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
We are seeking a dedicated, ethical leader who brings:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Social Work or related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience in supervisory or leadership roles
- Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to lead diverse teams with empathy and sound judgment
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and dependability
- Familiarity with conflict resolution, trauma-informed care, and volunteer coordination
- Bilingual communication skills (asset)

- Annual Salary: $61,000 to $68,000 (negotiable)
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
