KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Truck Driver – Roads Maintenance, you’ll support our roading team with safe, timely, and skilled operation of heavy vehicles and assist in essential road maintenance projects across the Whangārei district.
Your key duties will include:
- Driving trucks and transporting road construction materials
- Spreading aggregate and assisting with surfacing and repair works
- Supporting the crew on-site with roading and civil tasks
- Conducting vehicle safety checks and maintenance reporting
- Following strict safety and traffic management protocols
- Maintaining logs and documentation as required
- Collaborating with supervisors and team members to deliver high-quality work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Who We’re Hiring
We’re seeking experienced and motivated individuals who enjoy outdoor work, take pride in their skills, and bring a safety-first mindset to every job.
- Minimum Class 4 NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 5 preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in road/civil construction preferred
- Familiarity with construction and maintenance equipment
- STMS L1 qualifications are an advantage
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team
- Physically fit and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Committed to health & safety protocols and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving attitude
