Key Responsibilities
As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Read blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Use ISO pattern joystick controls
- Clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment
- Measure distances, volumes, and weights accurately
- Operate computer-controlled equipment and hydraulic pumping systems
- Secure and use special equipment attachments
- Perform minor repairs as required
Required Qualifications
Hirez Manpower Solutions is seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Languages: English
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Certification: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification preferred
Specialization and Equipment Experience
While working as an Excavator Operator you must also posses specialization in the following areas:
- Backhoe, loader, cable shovel (large or small), scraper
- Forklift operation
- Experience in excavation, haul road maintenance, and sub-grade excavating
