KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible to:
- Welcome and recognize every guest with professionalism and courtesy.
- Understand all food and beverage menu items and confidently recommend combinations and upsell alternatives.
- Take accurate orders, input them into Micros/POS, and ensure timely service.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, following hotel Standards of Performance.
- Perform a final check of tables, trays, or trolleys before guest service.
- Assist guests with seating, introduce menus, and suggest specials.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, handle inquiries politely, and report issues to supervisors with follow-up.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and bar counters at all times.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Handle cash and guest charges accurately.
- Participate in daily briefings and monthly meetings to align on service standards.
- Adapt to rotate within F&B outlets including restaurants, bars, room service, and poolside dining.
- Support in requisitioning, storing, and proper use of F&B supplies and equipment.
- Project a positive attitude, maintain a professional appearance, and embody the resort’s hospitality values.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent (F&B vocational certification/diploma preferred).
- Be HACCP certified.
- Have 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a five-star hotel.
- Possess hands-on experience with POS systems and stock/inventory management.
- Be detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a guest-first attitude.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene, punctuality, and professional appearance.
- Be motivated, hardworking, and friendly, with patience and a passion for service.
WORK CONDITIONS
The role involves:
- Working on-site at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort.
- Rotational shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically active service responsibilities.
- High standards of guest interaction and performance delivery.
