KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Kitchen Steward at Hilton Queenstown, you will be a key part of our kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment for all hotel outlet kitchens
- Operating and maintaining dishwashing machines and equipment
- Managing kitchen hygiene, food safety, and workplace health & safety (WHS) standards
- Assisting with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and storage areas
- Maintaining clean and organized kitchen storerooms
- Working safely with cleaning chemicals as part of daily operations
- Supporting colleagues across both Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown kitchens
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Hilton is looking for stewards who are dependable, energetic, and team-focused.
- Previous cleaning or stewarding experience in a hospitality environment (asset, but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of Food Safety and WHS requirements
- Strong teamwork and time management skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, early morning shifts, and rotating rosters
- Positive attitude, professional behaviour, and commitment to excellence
