KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cook at Calabar Kitchen, you will play a key role in delivering flavorful and authentic meals while ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes
- Specializing in African cuisine and other menu items
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and work areas
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
- Supervising and supporting general cooks as required
- Ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable cooks with the following:
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- 7 months to 1 year of cooking experience
- Experience in African cuisine preferred
- Safe Food Handling Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, WHMIS Certificate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food presentation
- Physically fit and able to work weekends and long shifts
