Key Responsibilities
As a Valet at The Sutton Place Hotel – Halifax, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests and providing a warm, welcoming first impression
- Safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a timely manner
- Assisting clients/guests with special needs and luggage
- Communicating effectively with front desk and guest service teams
- Providing directions and local area information when needed
- Ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction through attentive service
- Following all safety protocols and hotel policies
- Maintaining a clean and organized valet area
Required Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Mandatory: Valid Class 5/5F/G driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a valet, doorman/woman, or parking attendant role
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- WHMIS certification considered an asset
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and handling heavy loads
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and guest-focused
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
