Key Responsibilities

As a Valet at The Sutton Place Hotel – Halifax, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests and providing a warm, welcoming first impression
  • Safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a timely manner
  • Assisting clients/guests with special needs and luggage
  • Communicating effectively with front desk and guest service teams
  • Providing directions and local area information when needed
  • Ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction through attentive service
  • Following all safety protocols and hotel policies
  • Maintaining a clean and organized valet area

Required Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Mandatory: Valid Class 5/5F/G driver’s license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a valet, doorman/woman, or parking attendant role
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • WHMIS certification considered an asset
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and handling heavy loads
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and guest-focused
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
