KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Live-in Caregiver, you will be responsible to:
- Administer bedside and personal care.
- Assist clients with bathing, hygiene, and regular exercise (e.g., walks).
- Change non-sterile dressings.
- Feed or assist with feeding.
- Launder clothing and household linens.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Shop for food and household supplies.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Cook as required.
- Provide personal care and companionship.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate/diploma (1–2 years).
- Have 1–2 years of relevant caregiving experience.
- Be punctual, reliable, and patient.
- Show strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, organization, and client-focused care.
- Be flexible and dependable.
- Have proof of required caregiving certifications.
WORK CONDITIONS
The job involves:
- Working in the employer’s/client’s home.
- Shift work, on-call responsibilities, and a live-in arrangement.
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
- Physically and emotionally demanding care tasks.
