Key Responsibilities
As a Farmhand at CherryHill Orchards, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting day-to-day orchard and farm operations
- Assisting with harvesting operations during peak season (October to February)
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- General farm upkeep and orchard maintenance during the off-season
- Assisting with irrigation and crop management activities
- Supporting farm planning and maintenance activities
- Following workplace health and safety (OHS) practices
- Working collaboratively with the orchard team and management

Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Current Australian driver’s licence (required)
- Previous farm or horticulture experience preferred
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
- Comfortable working in varying seasonal and weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and biosecurity practices
- Must have permanent full work rights in Australia
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
- Chemical Users’ Certificate
- Forklift Licence
- Relevant agricultural licences or qualifications
- Experience in broadacre or irrigated crop environments
