Key Responsibilities
As a Health and Safety Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and organizing daily operations
- Providing information and training to employers, employees, and the general public
- Establishing and implementing occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Inspecting workplaces for safety or health hazards
- Investigating workplace accidents or illnesses
- Developing and implementing health and safety plans
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Advising senior management on safety matters
- Responding to employee questions and complaints
- Conducting inspections related to work-related accidents
- Working within construction and office environments

Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience
- 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
- Experience in construction site environments
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and email systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Required personal protective equipment includes safety boots (steel-toed), hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles
